at one of our favorites (Bojangles) in our Sunday best

I love this girl's smile!

On December 13th in honor of the Feast of Saint Lucy, we went to a light show at Park West Village in Morrisville. Fernando planned the whole evening and surprised us! He wouldn't tell us what the plans were or where we were going. There was a light show (video above), train rides, carolers and falling (fake) snow! The girls had a great time!
This laundry basket provided at least one solid hour of uninterrupted entertainment.

Fernando went out one night a few weeks into Advent and bought our Christmas tree. He went once the girls were already asleep so we could surprise them when they came downstairs the next morning.
This house is in a neighborhood near ours and just about every square inch of it is COVERED in lights!
It's in a cul-de-sac and what we find so amusing is that every single other house in the cul-de-sac is never decorated for Christmas, not a single light or piece of decoration. They must be compensating for their neighbors.
This house also has a huge Nativity in their front yard (that I couldn't fit in the picture). It doesn't feel like Christmastime until we've driven by this house!
(recipe coming soon)
I'm not a fan of traditional cheesecake but this, this is nothing like that! It is one of those easy, delicious, no-bake, make-ahead desserts. It tastes like smooth mocha ice cream and has a chocolate graham cracker crust (that you don't have to bake!)
This beautiful mosaic of Our Lady of Guadelupe is from St. Catherine of Siena in Wake Forest, NC.
We went for Mass in December instead of going to our usual parish because our Bishop was giving blessing for children in the womb.
In December just before I was making decisions on where to buy Christmas cards I WON a giveaway on Lulu the Baker's blog!
I couldn't believe it! I never win anything! Not only did I win a giveaway, but I won a really good, really big giveaway! $300 to MINTED! This more than covered our Christmas cards for 2014 and now I still have money left to cover birth announcements for baby #3!
These days, every time I turn around I find one of them getting into/climbing on something they shouldn't. Exhibit A: Lucia stood on the window sill and then climbed into Regina's highchair with her.
Exhibit B: Lucia inside the laundry basket to get something out of the fridge.
I feel like one of these girls is sick every other week. Poor Regina had a fever which ended up being Roseola. This was her taking her temperature.
Lucia being silly, per usual.
This was after Christmas and she is showing the beanie we gave her!
